Baby Projects

I've been working on making some baby stuff,
These are some storage baskets I made for her room...cute wicker baskets with liners are like $7.00 each and I wanted a bunch so I decided I would make some myself. These are ugly plastic baskets from the dollar store for $1 each. I bought 7. Then I bought a white twin flat sheet from Walmart for $4.00 and cut out the liners for the 7 baskets. I sewed them up (took probably 1 1/2 hours). Then I bought 2 yards of pink broadcloth for $1.97/yd (total $4.00). and cut long strips and sewed the ties. That took probably about an hour as well because it took awhile to turn them rightside out after sewing them. All in all I am very pleased with my project--7 baskets for the babies room for $15. (if I would have bought them it would have been almost $50 for the same number!!!)

These are some precious Mary Jane's I knitted using this fantastic pattern. These were my first knitting project:) I made some white ones that are going to go with her blessing dress, but they don't have buttons on them yet, so no picture. I hope to make some other cute knitted projects, like this adorable thing.

The next is not really my handiwork

But I had to include a picture of the CUTEST SKIRT EVER that I found on clearance at Janie and Jack in San Francisco. 1) I love that store 2) I love clearance. We will give her this skirt at Christmas time. Wouldn't it look adorable with that pixie hat???
