As much as I love vacationing, there are a couple things that always draw me back to reality and home
My pillow
Ok well I actually can't think of any others right now because most of the things I don't look forward to
work
laundry
cooking
Our Rasmussen family vaca this year was STUPENDOUS!!! I had been dreaming and planning for this vacation ever since we decided the location: Moon Palace Cancun.
I know a whole week of fun in the sun can hardly be represented by mere photos and videos...but here are some great shots
Adios good weather and 100% humidity!!! My skin will miss you although I much prefer the dry weather:)

Another visit to Colorado
I think everyone agrees with me that family is DA BEST! My little brother turned 12 on May 21st and so for Memorial Day we all went out to celebrate his ordination to the priesthood:)
I've been trying to take more pictures so that I have record of the memories I am making with my siblings and family. Little Hayden was only 2 when I moved out of the house, Derek 4 and Jared 6 so every time I visit they are bigger and bigger.
The boys all went on a fathers and sons campout--J, D, H, Trevor, Gpa, Ty, Nate and Dad
H was so sad that the law changed and now you have to sit in a booster seat until you're 8 years old. No weight limit, it's on age!!!
When they got back early the next morning (I was still sleeping of course:)) we--Nate and Tyler--set up the picnic table and us girls made lots of treats
We had a bday party for Nate
Here's the bday boy
The weather was soooo gorgeous. Of course we had to do something to enjoy it....
The boys had great ideas

We decided to play croquet--see how my belly is sticking out? yay!
This is a great shot of my dad in action--work clothes all ripped and dirty--the game was actually his idea, novel because it is not an adventure activity, but a gentleperson's game.

My sister got this great shot of my butt...
Helping my teammate--Hayden.
These two were the winners
Here's another good shot of the belly. It's always sooo fun to go home and hang out with everyone. Even better one more day until MEXICO!!!!!

Tummy shots at 26 weeks
This is the view I see
BIIIIIIGGGG BELLLLLYYYY
Here's what others see from the front....
and from the side
I'm carrying really long...I don't know else how to describe it. The bump isn't really as noticeable because I'm bigger from underneath my bust all the way down rather than just a little bump. I hope once she gets a little bigger that it will push out and not make me look so "thick". the nice thing is that I can hide the fact I'm pregnant just a little bit more with the right clothes I guess.
I'm so HAPPPPY:) Can you believe only 14 more weeks until my due date.

tips on rocking
You mommies out there...what are your opinions on gliders for nursing? do you use them? are they are necessity or a luxury? What did you use?

Baby Projects 2 and Mother's Day and Soccer
I've been nesting like crazy and bought a whole bunch of fabric for a number of projects. This is the first completed:
My mom kept her bouncer from when my brother was a baby (he's 7 now!) and it was in "well-used" shape:) for less than $5 I recovered it with this adorable pink flower print for our baby girl! The vibration in it actually still works on battery and I'm hopeful she enjoys it!
Mother's Day this year was very special--it was a great day--my only wish was potted flowers and of course Tyler had to go all out
Now they will last me all summer instead of a week! I love them. Tyler also surprised me with a nice mother gift for when I have the baby. I'm going to keep it a surprise for now.
This weekend we went to the temple and snapped this shot before leaving to show off my expanding waistline
Saturday we went and saw my nephew play some soccer and it was perfect weather.

Baby Projects
I've been working on making some baby stuff,
These are some storage baskets I made for her room...cute wicker baskets with liners are like $7.00 each and I wanted a bunch so I decided I would make some myself. These are ugly plastic baskets from the dollar store for $1 each. I bought 7. Then I bought a white twin flat sheet from Walmart for $4.00 and cut out the liners for the 7 baskets. I sewed them up (took probably 1 1/2 hours). Then I bought 2 yards of pink broadcloth for $1.97/yd (total $4.00). and cut long strips and sewed the ties. That took probably about an hour as well because it took awhile to turn them rightside out after sewing them. All in all I am very pleased with my project--7 baskets for the babies room for $15. (if I would have bought them it would have been almost $50 for the same number!!!)
These are some precious Mary Jane's I knitted using this fantastic pattern. These were my first knitting project:) I made some white ones that are going to go with her blessing dress, but they don't have buttons on them yet, so no picture. I hope to make some other cute knitted projects, like this adorable thing.
The next is not really my handiwork
But I had to include a picture of the CUTEST SKIRT EVER that I found on clearance at Janie and Jack in San Francisco. 1) I love that store 2) I love clearance. We will give her this skirt at Christmas time. Wouldn't it look adorable with that pixie hat???
